Weichafe means ‘warrior’ in Mapudungun, the native tongue of the Mapuche who are the indigenous people of Chile. The Mapuche mounted a strong resistance to the Spanish colonizers, and became known as a fierce and proud people.
The Sauvignon Blanc Weichafe white wine is produced by Curauma Wines in the Casablanca Valley, specifically in the beautiful area of Las Dichas, Chile. The wine is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes and has an alcohol content of 12.5%.
