One of the jewels of Coombsville, this single vineyard is set on the undulating slopes of an ancient creek bed. The rounded stones that fill the soil keep the fruit warm at night and create wines of beautiful ripeness and smooth tannins. The 2020 vintage had a great start with a temperate spring and warm summer. Most will speak of fires for the vintage, but we were fortunate to have a great harvest only a few days before the fire broke out. We continued to ferment the grapes to our normal protocols and enjoyed a healthy fermentation which lasted fifteen days. The wine was barreled down to french oak and allowed to age 15 months before being filtered and bottled on April 8th, 2022.
